Terror comes to us in multiple forms. H.P. Lovecraft, the brilliant American writer who built a dreadful and rich universe whose imprint, in all branches of popular culture (literature, cinema), is still very present today, knew it well.  Video games have not been foreign to its influence, since the times of the first Alone in the Dark, but none of them has managed to exploit it with as much affection and devotion as Lovecraft’s Untold Stories, the terrifying shooter created by the Russian Blini Games.

Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is now available in physical format for PlayStation 4, in two different editions: the standard edition, and a spectacular Collector’s Edition that includes the game, the soundtrack on CD, an art book, a pin and five lithographs. In the following video you can see a unboxing as dark as the game itself.

Based on the stories written by Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937), the game features five characters who must face hundreds of monsters and creatures directly extracted from the Myths of Cthulhu. In order to advance in each level, it is necessary to investigate the elements of each room, from tables and bookstores to insane objects that will make us lose our mind. If we take the character to the limit this will commit suicide, so we will have to assess whether the reward deserves so much risk.

H.P. Lovecraft himself runs the game’s weapons and items store, although you may not find it easily, because the design of each level is randomly generated. In this way, Blini Games makes each game as terrifying as it is fresh. If you’re not afraid of the Cosmic Horror and madness, you can purchase your copy of Lovecraft’s Untold Stories at the following links. But beware of playing in the dark…
